The Argus, Melbourne, Vic, saturday 14th September 1935, page 11.

“St John’s, Paisley Street, Footscray. A stained glass window in memory of women pioneers of the church will be dedicated by Archdeacon Lamble at 11. a.m.”

The artisan for this window was Alfred Charles Handel (1886-1948) who worked under John Lamb Lyon (1835-1916) at the studios of Lyon & Cottier in Sydney. He later took over the equipment of the firm after Lyon’s death in 1916 and established a stained glass studio in his own right.
